I would describe myself as an art scientist.

I wouldn't dare call myself an artist because I am a hydrogeologist and science teacher by profession, but I am passionate about art and I enjoy it being totally self-taught.

I have always liked to draw and paint. With watercolor, ink, gouache and crayons I have found a mixed technique that fascinates me. As a true scientist I love to investigate and play with colors and techniques.

Watercolor between realism and abstraction has allowed me to explore new paths of communication and expression without leaving aside improvisation as part of my path in art-research.

If there is a fundamental element that defines hydrogeology and watercolor painting, it is water and investigating how it flows with all the senses is part of my process in the design of each work. Controlling water is essential to achieve unique painting effects, playing with the amount of water to create soft transitions or intense details is one of my passions.
