Urban Landscape 2 (2022) Photography by Dezem

Dezem plays with light, color and reflection to capture the unique atmosphere of life in the east. If we consider that in large contemporary urban centers everything that is built also represents that something has been destroyed, the photographic record works as a fundamental tool for preserving the past. The images bring to the fore the human being duly integrated into his routine of certainties and concerns. In some of the works there is a kind of fragmentation of reality. By diluting the details, Dezem makes room for poetry and abstraction. Dezem is a colorist with landscape photos as the focus of that interest. He explores landscape themes, subjecting them to dramatic extremes of light and color combinations that are richly stimulating and at times poetic.
