I consider this line of works of my latest collections a pinnacle and a quintessential point of my genre and stylistic exploration where I've brought about my most favourite techniques and genres that I love working with the most and that had sort of got me hooked up on art first and then again almost a decade later...abstract expressionism with splattering only now it all originates and based on pointillism first and then builds on adding more expression and just the most free flow performance and execution where I take big brushes and swinging them like you wouldn't believe throw paint on the canvas after which my wrists feels like I am a mace swinging warrior or an olympian javelin thrower. You should also see my studio, I will at some point update my studio pictures in my profile to show this, but i have to cover all surfaces completely all around and it still doesn't help, as I keep finding paint almost in another room if not on a neighbouring house across the street later. But it is the most amazing process, so free and expressive and real, and it is so different to some meticulous style works I made, like mosaic swords. It is like a perfect storm, where you work with intention and kind of choose things and aim still, yet you can't quite control where and how exactly the paint would land, which makes it feel a a little like partially the painting paints itself. Very natural, yet still you trying to make it not as random but intentional. I even have sketches for these. It actually very helpful otherwise its easy to get lost and confused with indecisiveness with each step, it's handy to have that guideline and an envisioned desired result that you are working towards, also helps to know when to finish the piece. This is the first painting of a series 'pastel pleasures' which I hope to present more in the future, but I also did other collections in this style which are even more epic, that I will be posting soon. Very thick, layered, and textured piece.
