Hello! I am Anubha and I am a self taught visual artist from India. Painting for me is a medium through which I can zoom in and capture pixels of reality to share with the world. My main area of study and interest is women and their current psychic state and struggles in a world in which they do not feel like they belong. A world that expects her to be the perfect mother it never had. How femininity struggles to be in its natural state in a world which imposes its expectations and views on their life. The catastrophic impact on the mental health of our women as we fail them. With my art I intend to bring onto light, issues that are suppressed daily, unhealthy common practices that restricts a female human being to a box. With my work I aim to remind her that she is not alone and it is really happening and that she does not need to roar 'politely'.
My preferred mediums- Charcoal, acrylics, graphite and oil pastels.
