The pendulum of the clock swings steadily back and forth, houses and clouds in the windows sway with it. Gears are spinning, fussily passing seconds to each other. Arrows always run in circles, meeting and parting again in the daily bustle. Thousands of details, put together by some mysterious watchmaker, tirelessly divide the fabric of infinity into separate threads. The pendulum swings, and we also feel the beating of its mighty pulse in our veins, our movements, words, feelings are built into the general movement.
The pendulum swings, the sky itself swings, obeying the general rhythm. And everything around imperceptibly and inevitably changes, grows old, loses density and disintegrates, carried away by the merciless wind of time.
And what will happen when time itself runs out? After all, everything ends, fails. People, mechanisms, states. Even the stars go out. Ironically, it's just a matter of time... No matter how genius the Great Watchmaker is, one day his clock will stop. Some kind of spring will loosen or a screw will fall out, and the arrows will freeze absurdly and helplessly. The pendulum will swing for a long time, but it will stop.
Eternity will once again become one and indivisible...
