Depuis toujours intéressé par les arts, Yvon travaille au pastel sec et à la peinture à l'huile dès la vingtaine.
Plus récemment, il renoue avec son premier amour, le pastel, et se met à la peinture acrylique et techniques mixtes.
Souvent inspiré par la faune et la flore d'ici comme d'ailleurs, une grande douceur est exprimée dans ses oeuvres.
