Chromatic Reverie dances on the canvas, a symphony of hues and form. The central figure, reminiscent of a stylized flamingo, stretches its neck—a graceful curve that defies gravity. Its beak, an upward flourish, whispers secrets to the cerulean sky.

The background, a tempest of brushstrokes, defies interpretation. Is it water? A storm? Or perhaps the artist’s own emotions splashed across the canvas? The colors—pink, yellow, and white—swirl and blend, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

In this abstract reverie, we become voyeurs. We lean in, seeking meaning within the chaos. The figure’s elongated neck mirrors our longing—the yearning to touch the intangible, to find solace in color and line.

Yulia Verigina is an accomplished visual artist hailing from Russia, now calling the UAE home for over a decade. Though her professional journey initially led her through the corridors of international economics and the oil industry in her homeland, fate had other plans. Following her family's relocation abroad to support her husband's career, Yulia seized the opportunity to pursue her lifelong passion: art.

With an insatiable thirst for creative exploration, Yulia has delved into a myriad of artistic mediums, from the delicate strokes of drawing and painting to the evocative lens of photography and the emotive world of drama and filmmaking. Her diverse talents have seen her thrive in various roles, from freelance artist to live painter, photographer to actress, and even as an astute art director.

Yulia has actively participated in several esteemed exhibitions throughout her time in Dubai, including:

"The Artist's Palette" at the Capital Club,     DIFC, in November 2017.

"Ramadanisation" at Ductac, Gallery of Light,     in May 2018.

"Woman in Art" at Gallery Arabesque, Central     Park Towers, in March 2019.

"Light within us" virtual exhibition hosted     by Artezaar in October 2020.

"Year End Exhibition" with ArtSmiley in 2020.

"DIFC" Art Nights in November 2020.

"DIFC" Art Nights with a live performance in March 2022.

Live performances at World Art Dubai in  2022, 2023, 2024.

These exhibitions have provided her with invaluable opportunities to connect with fellow artists, art enthusiasts, and collectors, while also allowing her to share her creative vision with a wider audience. Each exhibition has been a unique and enriching experience, fueling her passion for artistic expression and inspiring her to push the boundaries of her craft.

Yulia's artistic journey reached new heights with her participation in the prestigious AFS Narrative 2019 program, where her short film "Perfect" showcased her storytelling prowess. Further honing her craft, she completed the Directing for Commercials 2021 course, culminating in the creation of an impactful anti-bullying public service announcement.

In the following years, Yulia's creative vision manifested in a series of captivating short films and commercials, including "See you tomorrow," "Mubarak maa jaak," "Portrait," "Cage," "Hell on earth," and "Noor," alongside educational video projects, where she served as an invaluable art director.

Summer 2023 marked a significant milestone in Yulia's career as she lent her artistic talents to the art department of the feature film "Holidays gone wrong," further solidifying her reputation as a versatile and accomplished artist in the world of visual storytelling.

In 2023-24, she transitioned her focus to digital art and embraced new creative opportunities, delving into the exciting world of AI.
