The reference photo of this painting was taken during a trip to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Georgia years ago. It was a cloudy day so not much sunlight. We were expecting some alligators but found out tons of waterlily and Spanish moss instead. Also, a lot of dragonflies with all kinds of color. I didn't change the composition very much.[...]
