I am Xenia. I live and work in Moscow. I am self—taught, but I have the status of a professional artist assigned by the Professional Union of Artists of Russia (Artists Trade Union). I have participated in many exhibitions in Russia, including an exhibition at the State Darwin Museum, and also participated in exhibitions in Germany, Hungary, and the USA.
I paint mainly in acrylic and oil. In my work, I strive to capture the moment when light penetrates through the darkness and creates a magical atmosphere, filling the space with mystery. My goal is to show that even in the darkest corners of the world there is a place for light, that even in the most desperate situations, hope can be found. I strive to evoke emotions in the viewer, make them think and feel like a part of this play of light and shadow.
I also use modern AR technologies to animate paintings. Most of my paintings can become alive if you scan them using an app on your phone.
