Vsevolod Chistiakov, a contemporary Russian painter, traces the roots of his artistic journey back to the indelible memories of childhood, where the scent of oil paints in the classroom became a source of comfort and inspiration. Today, that lingering, earthy aroma sets the tone for each day as he enters his studio, allowing it to guide his brush with a sense of familiarity and creative impetus. 

With a penchant for experimentation, Vsevolod incorporates various mediums, including watercolors, pastels, and charcoal, but his true passion and expertise lie in using oil on canvas, employing impressionist and realist techniques. His artistic focus centers on portraying the everyday elements – city streets, flowers, and nature – yet he presents the ordinary in a novel light by capturing the nuances of light, movement, color, and emotion in a singular moment. Working swiftly and often completing each painting in just a few days, Vsevolod views each canvas as a snapshot of a distinct experience or mood. The majority of his oeuvre comprises unique, original paintings, although he occasionally produces reproductions upon request and with the consent of the original owner.
