The Kyiv Metro's Dnipro Station stands as the iconic hub of the capital's subway, situated at the base of the Dnieper hills, near the tranquil shores of the Dnipro River. This picturesque location, which inspired its name, renders it one of Kyiv's most romantic metro spots. The open platforms, facing the water, provide enchanting vistas of the Dnieper, Hidropark, and the Left Bank. As the inaugural station, Dnipro holds a special place in the city's subway history, serving as the starting point for the entire metro system since its opening in 1960. Alongside Arsenalna, Khreshchatyk, Universytet, and Vokzalna, Dnipro is among the first stations, with its significance amplified by housing the initial subway depot. Adding to its charm, two statues, "Peace" and "Labor," grace the eastern exits, overlooking the Metro bridge.
