This symbolism is too conventional for me. That's why I set the time to 8 past 12 and let the figure walk into the future on a platform with a big hole in it.

J'ai démonté une vieille montre et je me suis demandé quelles pièces je pourrais utiliser pour une sculpture. Ce qui m'a le plus plu, c'est l'idée d'utiliser le cadran comme visage d'un personnage qui marche rapidement. Normalement, l'heure est réglée sur 12 heures moins 5, quasiment comme un symbole de la fin du monde.
Ce symbolisme est trop banal pour moi. C'est pourquoi j'ai réglé l'heure sur 12h08 et fait marcher le personnage vers le futur sur une plate-forme trouée.

Ho smontato un vecchio orologio e ho pensato a quali parti avrei potuto utilizzare per una scultura. La mia idea preferita è stata quella di utilizzare il quadrante dell'orologio come volto di una figura che cammina alacremente. Normalmente l'ora è impostata dalle 5 alle 12, a simboleggiare la fine del mondo.
Questo simbolismo è troppo banale per me. Per questo ho impostato l'ora alle 12 e 8 e ho lasciato che la figura corresse verso il futuro su una piattaforma piena di buchi.

ich habe eine alte Uhr auseinandergenommen und habe mir überlegt welche Teile ich für eine Skulptur nutzen könnte. Am besten gefiel mir der Gedanke das Zifferblatt als Gesicht einer zügig laufenden Gestalt zu verwenden. Normalerweise wird die Zeit auf 5 vor 12 eingestellt quasi als Symbol für das Ende der Welt.
Diese Symbolik ist mir zu banal. Deshalb habe ich die Zeit auf 8 nach 12 eingestellt und lasse die Figur auf einer löchrigen Plattform in die Zukunft laufen.
