Print "Reverences" Part 1 . Diptych from the series "Enjoying Freedom"

"Enjoying Freedom" is a series of works dedicated to overcoming limitations.
I suggest using visual objects as a metaphor to allow your subconscious to find an answer to the question "how can your shackles be turned into a point of growth of opportunities"
I like to think of my paintings as analogous to metaphorical maps in psychology. Metaphorical maps help connect the conscious with the subconscious in order to find a solution in this or that issue.
For example: if you perceive a cage as a limitation, and flowers as joys or achievements, then it is clear that achievements begin their growth from limitations...
I wonder what you see in this diptych?

I was born in Ukraine in 1981. I grew up surrounded by rich folk decorative folklore. Colorful carpets, painted dishes, floral motifs of towels that my grandmother embroidered delighted my eyes with bright colors. Grandmother told me about the sacred meaning of ornaments and their purpose, awakening in me an interest in ornamentalism.

A vivid impression for my imagination was the work of folk craftsmen Mariya Primachenko, Nadiya Belokon, Tetiana Pata. Also, I find inspiration in the works of contemporary watercolor artists. These sympathies united in me and poured out on paper in the form of a mix of techniques, materials and styles. In my works, I deviate from some canons of folk painting, but I follow the rules of symbolism, for example: the background of the paintings is always white, since this color means the beginning, light and goodness. Birds in a pair are a symbol of love, family and well- being. Warm colors are a symbol of comfort and harmony.I like this research on combining traditional Ukrainian folk painting with new techniques and materials.

I actively participate in national and international exhibitions. My works are in the public collection of the Ukrainian Museum of Folk Art, and in private collections in America, Germany, England, Poland, France, and Austria.
