I think abstraction is a 'field of possibilities'. And everyone chooses what he or she likes. Although not everyone is good at it. I believe that there is no other medium in art that offers so many possibilities of expression and perception. Abstraction also makes our brain work, it reads the picture without knowing what it is. And looks for something comparable to it from the 'option of possibilities'. Abstraction teaches us to think outside the box, to look for and find new solutions, rather than making endless 'remakes' of past experiences.
In this collection I will not 'dictate' to you what I had in mind when I painted the picture. I don't want to dictate whether I had any intention at all. I want the viewer to fully sort out his or her own impression.

Acrylic

Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.

Lacquer

Paint made with a resin from tree sap, various shrubs or with lacquer paints based on thermosetting resins. The technique consists in superimposing layers of lacquers with a vigorous polishing between each layer. It is mostly smooth shiny, but can sometimes also be satin or very Matt.
