First Light is a seascape painting done in acrylic colours. When the sun rises in the horizon, it gives a brilliant red and golden glow to the surroundings. And when this is reflected in the sea water.... the glow enhances. With the silhouette of a sail boat and its reflection in the sea water, the picture becomes more enchanting. The sun's first light on earth creates a mesmerizing effect! I have tried to capture the beauty and wonder of nature and the glowing sun in this painting.

While making this painting I struggled to get the perfect blend of the clouds, seawater and the horizon.....had to paint several layers to get the right effect. I hope I've done justice to the scene!😊

Welcome to my world of art! Art means joy, happiness....something which brings positive feelings. A painting is worth a thousand words.....and an artist speaks through her paintings. In every mundane things of life, I see art..... in the beauty of birds, in the smell of roses, in the cascading of waterfalls, in the calm waters of a river.....in the expressive eyes of a child, in the intensity of a human form and its emotions! I draw inspiration from all these. My art is all about portraying the good things in life and inspiration from nature. I hope to bring joy and positive feelings through my painting.
I am a self taught artist who loves to paint with oil, acrylic and water colours. I do sketches in charcoal too. Have done illustrations for the international award winning book 'Daggers of Treason' . Commissions are welcome.
