Rubens Fogacci (Bologna 30 maggio 1979), è un pittore e scultore italiano.
Fogacci si avviò alla pittura all’età di 15 anni, realizzando nel 1994 il suo primo dipinto, La famiglia, ne seguirono molti altri, tutti caratterizzati da una tecnica molto vicina al suo modo di essere, legata all’arte del fumetto. Nel 2000 inizia l’accademia di belle arti dove ha modo di incontrare diversi artisti e maestri come Concetto Pozzati.
Negli anni a seguire arriveranno le prime mostre collettive e personali in Italia e all’estero.
Durante la grande recessione economica mondiale iniziata nel 2008, continuava a lavorare sulla sua ricerca artistica, incentrata in quel periodo sul concetto dell’ “Extimità”.
Un percorso che valorizza il proprio “Io” attraverso l’esternazione dei difetti (nel caso di Fogacci rappresentato da un naso distorto) tramite il quale l’osservatore riesce ad identificarsi ed ad andare oltre ciò che si sta osservando, valorizzando così l’interiorità. Teorie già proposte anche dallo psicoanalista e filosofo francese Jacques Lacan.
Grazie e questa ricerca nello stesso anno viene invitato ad esporre proprio nella capitale francese, a Parigi.
Da quel momento l’artista verrà invitato ad esporre in diverse mostre in America, da Providence a Miami, fino ad arrivare nel 2014 alla partecipazione ad una delle manifestazioni più longeve degli Stati Uniti, Artexpo di New York, dove verrà invitato e parteciperà per i successivi cinque anni.
Nel 2015 in Italia l’artista firma una collaborazione con la casa editrice Giorgio Mondadori, che nel 2016 pubblicherà la prima monografia dal titolo “L’evoluzione del Segno” che verrà distribuita in tutti i musei Italiani e stranieri e nelle biblioteche e librerie universitarie.
Oggi l’artista continua a dipingere e ad esporre in tutto il mondo, grazie alle sue esperienza acquisite in Italia e all’estero, gestisce e organizza mostre a Palazzo Pallavicini a Bologna.
