In the stillness of the night, she drifted into dreams that were woven from the threads of longing and regret. Within those shadowed realms, she confronted the echoes of her past, the ghosts of decisions unmade and loves lost, and as dawn broke, the remnants of those darkly sad dreams lingered, a bittersweet reminder of the complexities of the heart.

Robert Atkinson is a New York City-based photographer trained in traditional analog photography. In 1980 at the age of nineteen, Robert started his journey in photography, shooting with large format cameras and film for a studio on Madison Ave in New York City. In the mid-1990s, he opened his studio in Soho with his wife. At that time, the industry was switching to digital and embraced the freedom and creativity that a digital workflow had to offer. Today, along with his studio, print, and audio work, he concentrates on landscape, avian, and urban exploration themes. Because of the need to recognize the importance of our environment more than ever, the natural world is seen throughout his work.
