The edge is defined in natural bronze in a rubbed finish to separate the two different sides.
On one face the variegated blue finish is smooth but on the other embedded glass enhances the variegation and texture.

Looking and contemplating will tell you much more than any description or explanation.

Philip Hearsey is a contemporary British sculptor. Hearsey is driven by an instinctive impulse to advance at his own pace and focus on building things, rather than engaging in certain theories. He uses his expertise in sandcasting to create sculptures that engage the quality of bronze as a noble material in and of itself, transforming observations and visualizations into three-dimensional realities. Hearsey's work is distinguished by its brilliant simplicity, fascinating designs, and tactile feel.
Philip Hearsey was born in 1946, in the UK. His sculptures are held in private and corporate collections across the globe.
