La dualité imprègne ce portrait. Le nuage principal, chargé de teintes grises, représente un doute certain, une introspection, une réflexion profonde.
D'un autre côté, la pureté du nuage blanc, placé devant le regard, semble donner une solution, une éclaircie ... Il vient harmoniser les incertitudes. Le personnage est face à sa solution, elle ne peut plus l'éviter.

Is it because she was born in Noyon, under the low skies of Picardy, that Pauline Bailly is so fond of clouds? For more than eight years, her pictorial work has revolved around the figures of cloud women, oil paintings that she creates according to her inspirations, in small or large format.
Her studies in cinematography at the University of Lille did not, however, predestine her to painting, which she patiently learned as an autodidact. Also a screenwriter, she today combines her taste for cinematographic writing with her work as an artist, and has launched an animated film project around Suzanne Valadon, whose life as a free woman and major artist has nourished her own work around cloud women.
