Oksana Chumakova is a contemporary Ukrainian artist, currently based in Krakow, Poland, whose journey through the world of art is as diverse as it is impressive. Born with a passion for creativity, she embarked on her artistic endeavors early on, laying the foundation for a prolific career that would take her across borders and disciplines.

Chumakova's artistic education began at the Kyiv Industrial Technical School in 1999, where she honed her skills and nurtured her innate talent. It was here that her fascination with ceramics first took root, setting the stage for her future explorations in the medium.

Eager to expand her horizons, Chumakova pursued further studies at the Kyiv College of Theater and Cinema from 2003 to 2007, delving into the realms of design and visual storytelling. During this time, she immersed herself in the vibrant cultural scene of Kyiv, finding inspiration in the city's rich artistic heritage.

Following her formal education, Chumakova embarked on a dynamic career as a design artist, leaving her mark on various prestigious institutions and theaters. From the Kyiv National Young Theater to the Kyiv Theater and the Kyiv Opera, she lent her creative vision to numerous productions, enriching the cultural landscape of her native Ukraine.

Throughout her career, Chumakova's artistic prowess has been recognized and celebrated through a series of exhibitions and competitions. Her work has been featured in prestigious venues such as the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) and various art exhibitions showcasing the talents of theater artists and fashion designers.

Notable highlights include her participation in the Competition of Young Fashion Designers and the Competition of Clothing Designers, where her innovative designs garnered attention and acclaim. Chumakova's contributions to the world of theater were also showcased in collective exhibitions of theater artists, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile and visionary creator.

In 2022, Chumakova embarked on a new chapter in her artistic journey, undertaking a residence in Oronsk, Poland. Here, amidst the serene surroundings of her temporary home, she continued to explore new artistic horizons, culminating in a collective exhibition of artists that showcased the fruits of her creative labor.

Today, Oksana Chumakova continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, drawing inspiration from her Ukrainian roots and her experiences abroad. Through her unwavering dedication to her craft and her relentless pursuit of innovation, she remains a shining example of the power of art to transcend borders and unite cultures.
