The artwork represents a dream world with two central trees with branches that remind us of two faces facing each other tempting to touch because in the poem their love was impossible to break a love that transcended death itself.
Count Nilo, Count Nilo Your horse will bathe; As the horse drinks, He set up a beautiful song. With the dark it was The King cannot see him. Little does the poor infanta know If you'll laugh, if you'll cry. - «Shut up, my daughter, listen, You will hear a beautiful singing: Or are the angels in heaven, Or the mermaid in the sea.” - "It's not the angels in heaven Nor the mermaid in the sea: It is Count Nilo, my father, Who wants to marry me.” - "Whoever speaks of Count Nilo, Who dares to name This rebel vassal That I had exiled?” - "Lord, it's only my fault, You must punish me: I can't live without him...
