Italy-based artist Mattia Riccadonna explores landscape relationships between liminal spaces and emotions using vibrant colours and compelling perspectives. The alpine landscape in which he lives strongly inspires his artistic production. Focused above all on the evocation of ancient times and ancient emotions. Sometimes he frees his production from artistic schemes and produces strictly abstract paintings, always of a landscape type. He has been painting since a very early age. At the beginning of his career he was attracted above all by realism. Then over the years he developed a much more distant path towards painting free from patterns. Influenced by the colors of Van Gogh and the simple perspectives of Peter Batchelder, he proposes a personal style that merges the two influences in a new and original work.
