Sadhou indien (2020) Sculpture by Martine Lee

Martine LEE was born in Paris in 1949 and settled in Seine & Marne. For 11 years she has lived in the south of France, in the hills of Nice, where she has transferred her studio.

From an early age, his taste for the visual arts was revealed. Passing successively from painting, to framing, and to the creation of decorative objects, she turned to the making of original silk clothes where she ensured the dyeing of her creations.

Martine discovered sculpture 35 years ago and perfected her skills during ten years of art school.

After a domestic accident 24 years ago which immobilized her for 6 months, more passionate than ever, she made the decision to practice as a professional.

She has been registered with the Maison des Artistes since 2003.

She used her previous experiences in the various plastic arts to express herself in sculpture.

She began first with carving on wood and marble, and then moved on to modeling and bronze.
