Acrylique et pastel, 76 cm x 61 cm (30’’ x 24’’).
Il faut de l’audace pour aller de l’avant, car qui n’ose rien n’obtient rien et même ne vit rien. Viser un objectif, pas forcément réaliste, nous met en action et l’action est à mon avis tout aussi importante, si ce n’est plus, que le but lui-même. Guillaume d’Orange disait que « point n’est besoin d’espérer pour entreprendre, ni de réussir pour persévérer ». Alors, pourquoi ramener systématiquement sur terre certains d’entre nous qui « rêvent en couleurs »? Pour moi, le rêve fait partie intégrante de ma vie. C’est avec de grands rêves qu’on en réalise parfois de petits et même de grands. Il arrive que le rêve me guide et que ce subconscient révèle des facettes cachées de moi-même. Sortir des terrains battus et découvrir le non conventionnel est un voyage magnifique à portée de tous. « Rêve ta vie en couleur, c’est le secret du bonheur » et « si vous pouvez le rêver, vous pouvez le faire » disait Walt Disney.
Having completed my artistic studies at the Superior School of Applied Arts in Paris, over the years, I have revived my resources in my Masters in Plastic Arts Education studies and through my commitment to teaching. I then broadened my means of expression and embarked on sculpture, engraving (etching and screen printing). Then comes the exploration of various processes and materials (including plaster and tissue paper) that led me to use mixed techniques. In recent years and still today, I favor acrylic painting which leaves a lot of freedom, and almost always pastels and various grease pencils add to what acrylic cannot.
