Le grand magicien me fascine, me surprend, m’émerveille. Toujours à l’œuvre et dans tous les recoins de la planète. Sous ses doigts habiles, les fleurs éclosent, les arbres poussent, des êtres voient le jour. Et nous, tellement habitués et blasés, ne voyons plus cette magie constante qui nous entoure. Nous remarquerons plus souvent et facilement la panne, le handicapé, l’erreur qui nous réveille de notre léthargie; alors du coup, la magie de la création nous échappe. Mais le grand maître est toujours là qui donne vie à toutes choses. Il remue terre et mer pour sauver ce qu’il peut, les forêts dévastées repoussent, la pluie après la sécheresse ravive la végétation, mais sans notre aide, il s’épuise et ne peut assumer et réparer à lui seul toutes nos erreurs. Pourquoi la graine germe-t-elle ? comment se fait-il que l’embryon devient un homme ? Seul le grand magicien peut accomplir de telles œuvres. « J’éprouve l’émotion la plus forte devant le mystère de la vie » disait Albert Einstein. Ne passons pas à côté comme si de rien n'était. Le mystère est sous nos yeux, car cet artiste se fait discret pour nous laisser toute la place.

Painting Pastel

Pastel is an instrument widely used in plastic arts. Taking the form of a colored plastic stick, it is composed of pigments, a filler (chalk or plaster) and a binder (gum arabic, oil, wax). We mainly distinguish fatty pastels (oil or wax), dry pastels, whether soft or hard. Invented in Europe at the end of the 15th century, this tool was very quickly used by great portrait painters of French royalty, such as Charles Le Brun, Rosalba Carriera, Jean Siméon Chardin or Maurice Quentin de La Tour, who will be considered the "Prince of pastellists", thanks to a method of fixation of which only he knew the secret.

Pastel

Drawing made with a colored stick. It consists of pigments, a charge and a binder. A distinction is made between dry pastels (soft or hard) and fatty pastels (oil or wax).

Technic Painting

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.

Having completed my artistic studies at the Superior School of Applied Arts in Paris, over the years, I have revived my resources in my Masters in Plastic Arts Education studies and through my commitment to teaching. I then broadened my means of expression and embarked on sculpture, engraving (etching and screen printing). Then comes the exploration of various processes and materials (including plaster and tissue paper) that led me to use mixed techniques. In recent years and still today, I favor acrylic painting which leaves a lot of freedom, and almost always pastels and various grease pencils add to what acrylic cannot.
