L’eau, compagne de tous les jours! Transparente, fuyante, ne se laissant pas saisir, mais qui pourtant, prend tellement soin de moi. Elle glisse entre mes doigts, ruisselle sur mon corps sans jamais prendre une pause. Elle me désaltère, m’apaise, me rafraîchit, me lave, me baigne, bref, elle me dorlote et je lui dois la vie. Elle ira même s’associer à la terre pour encore mieux me servir et me nourrir. L’eau veille sur les champs et les forêts qui accueillent tous les animaux de la planète y compris ceux du ciel qui chantent la vie et la liberté.
La connaissons-nous bien cette compagne de tous les jours? Cette voyageuse éternelle qui souffre dans les déserts au grand désespoir de ceux qui ont soif? Comme elle est à ma porté de main, je la prends trop pour acquise… et pourtant, elle ne m’appartient pas. Elle se donne à moi et je lui dois tout le respect du monde. Je l’honorerai jusqu’à la fin de mes jours.

Painting Pastel

Pastel is an instrument widely used in plastic arts. Taking the form of a colored plastic stick, it is composed of pigments, a filler (chalk or plaster) and a binder (gum arabic, oil, wax). We mainly distinguish fatty pastels (oil or wax), dry pastels, whether soft or hard. Invented in Europe at the end of the 15th century, this tool was very quickly used by great portrait painters of French royalty, such as Charles Le Brun, Rosalba Carriera, Jean Siméon Chardin or Maurice Quentin de La Tour, who will be considered the "Prince of pastellists", thanks to a method of fixation of which only he knew the secret.

Pastel

Drawing made with a colored stick. It consists of pigments, a charge and a binder. A distinction is made between dry pastels (soft or hard) and fatty pastels (oil or wax).

Technic Painting

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.

Having completed my artistic studies at the Superior School of Applied Arts in Paris, over the years, I have revived my resources in my Masters in Plastic Arts Education studies and through my commitment to teaching. I then broadened my means of expression and embarked on sculpture, engraving (etching and screen printing). Then comes the exploration of various processes and materials (including plaster and tissue paper) that led me to use mixed techniques. In recent years and still today, I favor acrylic painting which leaves a lot of freedom, and almost always pastels and various grease pencils add to what acrylic cannot.
