Hi there and welcome to my profile. My name is Maria, I'm an Egyptian living in the Netherlands. I started oil painting when I was 13 years old. I still remember that incredible feeling of the brush. The forgiving nature of oil painting made me fall in love with painting. I experiment with it as much I can. I believe that you can paint with literally anything. So I use my own hands and fingers a lot. Because there is nothing more satisfying than brushing my elbow deep paint after a session. 

Even though I started painting at a young age, I didn't have the opportunity to study art.  It's not very common to make a living out of art in general. So I was able to combine my two passions art and helping people. As of June 2024 I will be a Dutch qualified dentist. I found out that dentistry gives me so much room te become as creative as I want, especially with esthetic assignments. My eye for colors helped me a lot by giving people the smile they deserve by using different colors to create depth.

I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them.
