La marque deviendra célèbre à partir de 1962 avec l'AC Cobra, un dérivé musclé de la petite anglaise AC Bristol, et finira d'asseoir sa notoriété grandissante avec la Shelby GT 350 ainsi que la Shelby GT 500, faisant de son nom une légende ....
