Luiz Henrique da Rocha Azevedo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1955. He developed a taste for drawing early on.
In 1975, he developed an appreciation for oil painting and began working with figurative painting. Much later, he returned to painting, learning and maturing his technique. At this time, his focus was on the Flemish school and its notorious painters, as well as his acquaintance with impressionist painting.
He pursues technical expertise as well as thematic identification, which at the same time gives his works a particular and plural meaning.
