I spent my childhood in Rambervillers (Vosges) a town near Epinal, "the capital of the Image" where I later went to take classes at the local art school during a two-year sabbatical. There, I exhibited oils, acrylics and etchings but in 1994, I left for the United States to teach French and Philosophy in an international school. I then specialized in engraving on wood or linoleum and photography, which I have always used as a visual notebook, became the basis of my work.
My private or public buyers live in England, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Japan, Norway, Sweden and the United States.
Apart from art and philosophy, I like to read, write, travel.
I have many more works that the one shown here and they can be seen on my website (ldart.work) along with my bio, info about techniques and history or printmaking, a blog and more. You can also search for Images, Voyages, Impressions, the name of my business, and you'll find me.
Thanks
