Portrait and event photographer Klara Stojanikova is based in Prague, where she also has her own photo studio and darkroom. His beginnings are closely linked to his father, a portrait photographer and darkroom magician. Since her early years of photography, she has loved the shallow depth of field, the Gothic style in architecture and the atmosphere of the paintings of Flemish painters.
Among the photographers she admires are Nadar, Julie Cameronová, Rodčenko, Witkin, František Drtikol, Tono Stano and Ivan Pinkava. Klara graduated from a school of applied arts and applied photography as well as the Institute of Creative Photography of the University of Silesia in Opava.
She began studying photography in 1994, at a time when it was still analog. She continues to practice analog black and white photography and cyanotype. Klara has a particular affection for analog photography, particularly shooting with a large studio camera on large format 12x17cm and 18x24cm negatives.
In addition to her specialization in digital photography, including personal and corporate portraits as well as events, Klara Stojanikova retains a passion for analog photography, where she finds a unique charm in the process and result.
