His artistic enquiry has impelled him to collaborate with his contemporaries in poetry, literature and theatre. As a result the Department of Culture awarded him with Senior Fellowship (1979- 82 ) for “ Integrating the visual language of art and content and coordinating it as a whole”. His paintings and his interest have been widely recognised throughout the country including the paintings reproduced by the International Design journal (No.42 ) Seoul, Korea. Among the most prestigious, an extensive interview along with the reproduction of paintings was published by Temenos 13 - an international review journal devoted to the Arts of the Imagination, edited by Kathleen Raine and published from London. Kashmiri attended many art camps at national and international level. His artworks were displayed at sixth Babylon International Festival of Art in Iraq 1994. A presentation of the three decades worth of his paintings was held at the International seminar of The Indira Gandhi National Center of the Arts organised in collaboration with the Millennium Trust of Britain in 2004. He was also chosen to represent India and participate as an artist in the international show of “Stichting White Cube global village” in Netherlands, Denmark and Germany in 2014. He also was invited to participate in Scope Miami Art (Voice of an artist) in 2015.

The idea and drive behind his art have been to understand and grasp ancient Indian texts and to translate the very thoughts, philosophies and wisdoms of these texts into the modern visual language of fine art. Through his artworks he aims to express not momentary beauty but momentous mind grasping tidings and the very roots of our being in this modern material world.
His paintings serve as a medium to embody transcendence and spiritual freedom through such metaphors as flight and ascension. A dream of flying is a desire to abolish time and space, symbolises the need, and perhaps the possibility of becoming free from all conditioned limitations.
