*****
This painting represents a mountain valley landscape seen from above, when at the bend of a hiking trail at sunrise, the gaze is amazed by all the layers of rock sediments majestically getting along, and in communion with the green nature within it. This landscape is directly inspired by Karine d'Arlhac's trip to Bolivia in 2017 on the Altiplano. She was dazzled by the variation in the colors of the different layers of rock, with dense vegetation in places which gave this feeling of a desert at the end of the world, seemingly empty of all life, whereas paradoxically and despite the altitude and the elements hostile, these rocks are home to a variety of flora and fauna.
