Провожу все дни перед листом бумаги, с кистью или карандашом в руке, и всю ночь перед экраном компьютера, с мышкой на поводке. Ничто большее не интересует меня.

В настоящее время ...

Родилась в далекой северной стране, на земле тихих озер, а сейчас живу здесь, в горячем приморском городе Хайфа, где перемешаны эпохи, стили, религии и сливаются истоки разных народов.

Люблю бродить по старым выложенным камнем узким улочкам, увитым плющом и колючими цветами. Где в просветах между домами, лестницами и балконами сияет море. Люблю слушать шум сосен в лесу. Люблю рисовать этот мир таким, каким его я вижу — ярким и вечным.

Родилась в России, на Урале.
Окончила с отличием московскую Академию изобразительных искусств (отделение станковой живописи и графики).
В Израиле с 1991 года.
Член Союза художников Израиля с 1991 года. Участница многих персональных и групповых выставок.
Картины находятся в частных коллекциях США, Италии, Франции, Германии, Украины, России и Израиля.
Работаю в технике масляной живописи, акварели, росписи на шелке.

Now I am a free artist....
Spend all days in front of a sheet of paper, brush or pencil in hand, and all nights in front of my computer screen, the mouse on rein. Nothing more interests me. For the time being... I've come from a back of beyond northern place, a land of quiet lakes, to live here in a noisy and hot sea-side city where ages, styles, religions and fates merge. I like wandering along old stone-paved narrow streets where ivy-twined houses are so close to each other. I like listening to the murmur of pines in the forest. I like drawing this world the way I see it - bright and eternal.



Сны и горькую радость надежды
распахнутых крыльев окна.
Ветер, бродящий по городу, касается щек,
а на губах песок древних ярких миров.
Ничто не исчезнет, никто не умрет,
если я буду помнить о них.
И кисточкой тонкой касаясь
цветного дождя акварели,
и линию ломкой сгибая на плавность стебля,
и книги листвой шелестя -
хочу только частью их быть.
Листья, лица, цветы,
тайны каждой минуты
я разгадать не сумею
и не буду их делать портреты,
как мгновенные отблески смутных видений чужих.
Я их не знаю, а фальшью обидеть
страшно самый великий шедевр -
снежный, сверкающий лист...
Но всё отражается странно:
в осколках стекла становится образ родным,
и так напряженно и тонко поющую слышу струну,
которая тянется робко.
Туда, где мой дом,
где падают капли нот
на нервы натянутой плоско бумаги.
Прикосновение капель кажется нежным,
как пенистый шар на ладони,
Но лопнет со звоном ракушка моя
и я поброжу на свободе,
где ветер скорлупки катает.
Взлет вдохновения - свободы глоток,
вечности воля и свет.

You can relate to Julia Zisman's work as a process that moves from reality and dream, between the conscious and the unconscious. The artist takes her inspiration for her artistic work from sources that are out there and those within herself. Aspects of esthetics, like the fusion of language and content occupy her during her artistic thought. The composition of color that moves from warm colors in some of her works towards cold colors in some other works of hers creates the opposition which makes the viewer experience esthetic and calming atmosphere. Her figurative and narrative work combines similes that expose her personal codes like in a private diary. And as she says, it helps to get free and wander around like the wind, flying like a spirit, like her, like a gulp of freedom.
"Her paintings are full with spirit, poetry and gentleness. Julia has a wonderful ability to look inside herself and her paintings open a hatch for us and allow us a glimpse of her soul, reading of a dream that opens on the canvas where Yulia shows her most secret ambitions – to rise and fly" Ahuva Sherman. In her work the artist advocates a kind of dialogue with women's world in general and her personal, private world in particular (like in her work "Dialogue", oil on canvas and another work of hers "Angels", oil on canvas). Julia Zisman's inner female voice is heard by the similes taken from folk fairy tales, her dream like pastoral reality (see her works: "The Wind's Tendency", and "Cherries", oil on canvas) and from her spiritual world, her monochromic colors' palette with contrasted colorful stresses like in her work "Windflowers" oil, and "The dance in Fire", silk ….
The artist Julia Zisman was born in Russia. She graduated the Arts Academy in Moscow. She lives and works in Haifa. She uses different materials: water colors, gouache, oil and silk

When I see today its huge pictures, as opposed to small nice water colors that were at the first exhibitions when she only has arrived to Israel in 1991, I think, that she has passed a long way and a part of its dream was executed.
She has really spread wings and has got out on open space
The soul draws even earlier, than it is done with a brush
And Julia's soul moves a brush to a wide colourful composition
This exhibition represents a sign and the important additional mark on a way of its creativity.

Julia Zisman's Art Exhibition

I graduated from the Russian Academy of Arts, faculty of Easel Painting and Graphics in 1989.

In 1991 I left my home country of Russia and settled in Haifa, Israel. I have been a member of the Israeli Union of Painters and have been an active participant of collective exhibitions organized by the Union of Painters since my arrival.

My personal exhibitions are placed in numerous private gallerias and cultural centers in all parts of the country. These exhibitions usually have huge publicity and have resulted in very warm comments from the audience. My works are in many private collections in Israel and several other countries. I work with different materials and techniques such as oil and watercolor painting, black and white graphics and batik.

All my new works are represented on my website and in my private gallery which you are welcome to visit.

I'm a graduate of an Academy of Fine Arts (department of easel painting and drawing), have had a number of personal exhibitions and been a participant of a few group ones. My works can be found in private collections in the US, Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Israel. I have completed a number of computer graphics courses and worked in a private public house for several years.
