Lemnia II es una pieza que evoca la antigua majestuosidad de la escultura de Atenea Lemnia, una obra icónica creada por Fidias en el siglo V a.C. y que una vez se alzó en la Acrópolis de Atenas. A través de esta obra contemporánea, el artista nos transporta a la grandeza y la elegancia de la antigua Grecia, ofreciendo una interpretación única y moderna de la famosa estatua de bronce.
En esta composición, el artista elige representar la cabeza de la escultura casi de perfil, brindándonos una visión en la que los detalles son precisos y los contornos están claramente definidos. Los tonos utilizados están meticulosamente delimitados, creando manchas de color nítidas que delinean la forma de la cabeza con una notable destreza técnica.
La disposición de los tonos, recortados unos contra otros, genera un efecto visual similar al de un cartel, capturando la atención del espectador de manera inmediata. La mirada de la cabeza de la escultura se dirige hacia la izquierda, donde unas letras en tonos cálidos, dispuestas en lectura vertical, destacan sobre un fondo de tonos azules, otorgando un contraste vibrante y llamativo a la obra.
A través de "Lemnia II", el artista nos invita a reflexionar sobre la persistencia del arte a lo largo de los siglos, así como sobre la capacidad de reinterpretación y reinvención que caracteriza a la creatividad humana.
