I printed those AI-generated photos on photo paper and glued them on a wodden frame, afterwards I apply silver spray paint and resin. The resin gives it this bubbly surface, blurring the original photos, creating a new matrix, a veil-like new surface.
The boys in the photos, who originally seemed really real, thus disappear behind a layer of real synthetic resin - which creates a distance, a distance to the artificial projection surfaces, to the unreal, to the longing for AI-generated objects. They disappear again, the unattainable thus become real again, the real synthetic resin exposes their artificial character, removes them from all real projections. And us with our insatiable demands, which only unreal persons can fulfill.
About AI
Artificial intelligence will shape our world, the digital world and the real world. I am fascinated by the new possibilities, I am afraid of the new possibilities. With AI-generated images and portraits, we can create new objects that express our desires, fascinate and move us. But they are unreal, they don't exist. They are out of reach. Portraits are not photoshopped, models are not put in perspective with lots of makeup. New AI-generated portraits of models are pure fantasy. With my collages I want to remind us that these boys and men are unreal, unattainable projections. They fascinate me, but where is this going?
IMPORTANT: None of my artwork is perfect, they are organic, there are drops of paint, tears in the paper, waves, glue residues. They are original!

ART INSPIRATION: Jerome's art is about capturing the essence, spirit, and energy of the world around him. Bringing it together, reflecting, mixing.
His main mean is mixed-arts / collage. He loves to divide and unite, giving things a new angle by fragmenting or assembling them.
Many of Jerome's paintings are distinguished by giving them a new twist, by taking new focusses, new perspectiuves, adding frames or colours.
He also is very interested in the expressive power of color and how certain colors can trigger different emotions.
ART COMMISSIONS: Jerome Cholet is available for Art Commissions.
DISCLAIMER: All of Jerome's artwork is hand made, so they have ripples, blobs, drops of paint, wrinkles, and bumps. For him art is organic, it arises from natural materials, it changes over time. He does not like clinically clean art, he likes change, maturation and decline. All three are part of life and his art.
