This is a painting inspired by my love of the light and weather of the northern landscape, with its granite hills, transient mists, sudden storms and shafts of brilliant light. It is not based on a particular place or view, but rather on the atmosphere of these upland regions, in the liminal spaces where the mountains meet the sky.

This is a painting inspired by my love of the light and weather of the northern landscape, with its granite hills, transient mists, sudden storms and shafts of brilliant light. It is not based on a particular place or view, but rather on the atmosphere of these upland regions, in the liminal spaces where the mountains meet the sky.
It's painted using professional artict quality acrylics on stretched canvas, and has a layer of varnish for protection; the sides are painted in similar colours to the rest of the artwork.
The painting is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/signed in full no the reverse; it is unframed and has picture hooks and cord on the reverse so it's ready to hang.
The painting will be carefully packaged and sent tracked and insured with a reputable carrier: a Certificate of Authenticity will be included.

I was born near London and spent my teenage years on the Isle of Wight. Following university in the UK and Canada, I spent many years working in health and education settings as a speech and language therapist, and also as a dance movement therapist in private practice.
I have always painted, and a few years ago took the bold decision to concentrate fully on my painting. I now live and work from my home in the beautiful borderlands between England and Wales, and make frequent painting journeys for inspiration further afield to the hills and coastlines of the north of England and Scotland.
