Street Friends#1 (2020) Painting by Halidou

Halidou Ouangraoua is a contemporary Ivorian painter. Infusing both classic and contemporary graffiti into his extremely personal writing, he has made Street Art his chosen discipline. His work is also strongly influenced by Pop Art. Halidou uses both native materials like clay, natural colors, and cut-out pieces of wood to express himself, as well as more traditional tools and methods like the brush, acrylic, stencil, spray can, collage, etc.

After training at at the CRAMA (Conservatoire Régional des Arts et Métiers d'Abengourou) and the C.T.A.A (Centre Technique des Arts appliqués de Bingerville), the artist will have the chance to connect with the best Ivorian painters (Yapaud, Jacobleu, Augustin Kassi and Yapi Roger). He will be able to refine his style during this experience. The 2015 ABOUDIA Award for Revelation was given by the Association Art Eburnéen to Halidou Ouangraoua.
