In Giò Pasta's fervent brushstrokes, emerges a Jesus Christ with a face contorted in pain, surrounded by a crown of thorns that serves as a tangible symbol of his sacrifice. The painting captures an anguishing moment where Christ, while sinking, tenaciously struggles not to succumb to the forces pulling him down.
Around this central figure, Pasta paints a fresco of human suffering and complexity within the religious realm. Christ's hand reaches towards the head of the Pope, firmly gripping a cardinal, while other representatives of the Church surround the scene. A priest, a monsignor, and a cardinal are engaged in an intricate embrace with blurred outlines, reflecting the complexity and contradiction of human actions.
An arm extended towards Mary envelops the Mother's face with love and sadness. Behind Christ's head, the faces of nuns reveal a deep awareness and a sense of helplessness in the face of pervasive suffering. On the right, a woman's face and that of a child, almost fused together, with terrified eyes and bubbles on their faces, represent the innocent suffering that humanity carries with it.
In the background, Judas, about to depart, barely turns to witness the scene, suggesting a reflection on individual responsibility. The painting is a powerful metaphor, emphasizing humanity's ongoing inability to fully grasp Christ's teachings. Jesus still suffers, not only because of our cruelty but also for those who, aware but helpless, cannot change the course of human affairs.
"The Redeemer's Cry" is a masterpiece that invites deep reflection on our human nature, suffering, and the quest for redemption within the context of religious and social dynamics.

I was born in Fano. Graduated Master at the International Art Institute "Fanum Fortunae" in Fano. In the 60s I moved to Milan, to continue my studies by attending the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, located in the heart of that vibrant, free and nonconformist Milan of those years, sharing art with many artists who frequented the favorite for many of them: a golden decade of art, music, fashion, design and a great will to live. In 1975 the first personal exhibition, "Tratti & Ritratti", Galleria Guelfa, Florence. In 1977 in Rome. I attended the Academy of Dramatic Art "P. Sharoff". The meeting with the famous F. Vigo gallery owner immediately established a good feeling and so he exhibited in his "Numero" gallery in Rome, a point of reference for relations between internationally renowned artists and intellectuals. In 1981 I returned definitively to Milan, from here I resumed my initial path. In 1991 I was fully accepted as an Academician at the Academy of Fine Arts in Fano. In the years to come, with multimedia events and installations, my painting maintained the figurative style between the visionary and the fantastic, continuing the transit towards the latitude of the dream leads me to express, through journeys of the psyche, the metaphors of the life of the my mental imagery.
