Gilbert Borb is a Brazilian illustrator and painter, who has been working for almost 30 years, for screen printing, advertising, publishing, children's games, comics, etc... He has illustrated characters such as Scarlet Scorpion, She-Cat and Drusilla, for AC Comics, and much more. He started drawing at the age of 5, after being excited to see the animals at the Zoo, he wanted to draw all the animals he had seen. During his childhood, he was a comic book collector, created several characters, wrote comic book scripts and published fanzines. He produced cartoons for his hometown newspaper, Jornal NH. He worked as a private detective at the KBI Investigation agency. He studied 2D Cartoons at the MMT Cartoon Animation school. He was sub manager of Pizzeria, graduated Cable in the army. In 1994, he started working with illustrations, for silkscreens and advertising. He worked with signs, banners, facades, and creation of logos, at the company Ateliê da Arte. He produced many comics for Fanzines. He studied in more than 10 drawing and art books, national and imported, graduating in Artistic Human Anatomy, from 1995 until today. In 1996 he launched his fanzine "The obscure World". He studied comics at Edahfis School in Novo Hamburgo. He studied oil painting at the Ateliê Livre Municipal of Novo Hamburgo. He produced graphic novels for AC Comics Publishing. He opened his own micro publishing house, Editora Fantasia, where he published his first children's book, A gang from the forest and the dream of Cotton. He has worked on illustrations for various RPG Card Games projects, illustrations for books, comics and other projects, for clients from all over the world. When he doesn't have orders from clients, he produces oil paintings.
