The concept is all about bringing the object of the past to present ,using texture for the body of the work and using details for the object
The title of the painting is The old lantern
Lantern is one of the sources of light in the past and some people are still using it up till date but they are few and they are mostly in africa.
Majority of the kids born in late 20's don't know what it's about and they've not seen it in person.
So am using my painting to pass an information to them and to past it to the old ones in other to remember some good old memories, to remember the discipline of the past through lantern.
How fragile the glass is(the egg),the way it's been handled with care, because once the glass break there is no light, the glass is the shield and it's protect the light
Is part of one the lessons I was taught then,The lesson of knowing how to cherish and value what I have and am glad its really help alot.
