With the increasing awareness in art , there have been a host of young art collectors with a fascination and interest to collect the well established names in the contemporary art circuit , within a small budget to suit their pockets .

On such repeated requests GK designed a show just to suit their needs and pockets .With most young contemporaries working on large often huge canvases , the young collectors often felt constraints of either wall space or budget.

Gallery Kolkata in its bid to get the young to start off on an art collection is showing works by established young contemporary and master artists in small format , prices being kept to minimal .

The artists very encouragingly made smaller works and also gave lower than usual prices to encourage the young art aficianados .

Not sticking to any particular style or genre , the exhibition intends to be a treat to the collectors by exposing them to all forms , genres and style of art and art forms ; thus helping them choose and see what goes well with their sensibilities .
