Les falaises pierreuses des immeubles haussmanniens du bout de l'île luisent doucement au soleil;
Entre elles, quelques arbres, des stores et des parasols dispensent une ombre toujours bienfaisante en ce mois d'août et abritent une foule chamarrée de convives, de verres, d'assiettes et de bouteilles;
Au loin, derrière les arbres et les beaux immeubles des quais de la rive gauche, le clocher de Saint-Étienne-du-Mont élève sa silhouette gracieuse et nimbée de lumière tandis qu'au premier plan, un réverbère monte la garde et attend patiemment son heure.
Le dessin ayant servi de base au tableau a été fait le jeudi 17 août 2023 à 17h.
