From the "Lost and Found" series.
“Lost objects, found objects, things to be lost, things to be found. Objects and subjects. People and memories and habits and places. A look into our times amidst drama and irony, somewhere between a diary and a collective experience. And maybe much can be found, just by losing something.”

Francesco D'Adamo is a contemporary Italian painter. D'Adamo's enchantment with the world of art began during his formative years when he embarked on a journey of discovery through private painting lessons. These early encounters with the world of colors, shapes, and creative expression served as a mere glimpse into his burgeoning talent. It was only in 2006, when he relocated to the vibrant city of Bologna, that painting reemerged in his life as a profound and unyielding force, eventually becoming the central pillar of his existence.

The ensuing years bore witness to the blossoming of D'Adamo's artistic career. He held his inaugural exhibitions in Bologna, captivating the local art scene with his mesmerizing works. Eager to share his art with a global audience, D'Adamo ventured to various art fairs and events across Europe and Asia. His distinctive style and unique perspective soon garnered the attention of collectors and art enthusiasts from every corner of the world.

A defining moment in his artistic journey occurred with the unveiling of his prominent solo exhibitions. In 2017, the world was introduced to "Chimere," a collection that showcased his profound creativity. The following year, "Discanto" (2018) continued to captivate audiences with its innovative approach to visual storytelling. The pinnacle of D'Adamo's early career came in 2019 when he took his talents to Hong Kong for the groundbreaking solo exhibition "Dyssomnia." This international exposure solidified his status as a global artist of note.

D'Adamo's artistic pursuits are deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Italian informalism and American abstract expressionism. His work is a harmonious fusion of visual and musical language, where the sign and its rhythm converge to create a profound dialogue on the canvas. Layered surfaces, a vibrant palette, and a mastery of diverse techniques all intertwine to form a lyrical, yet profoundly grounded imagery.
