          Ever since I was a child, I've been drawing, almost daily and with the same passion. This frenetic passion is linked firstly to the need to express myself freely and spontaneously, as I have long struggled to find words and communicate with others, and secondly to the pleasure of aesthetic research, the endless exploration of this visual language with its own universe and mechanisms.

          It was in high school that I began to take an active interest in art history, and in particular in the painters of the modern period. This has also enabled me to nourish my work by drawing inspiration from those I admired, comparing them in an attempt to highlight certain technical or conceptual innovations that could well become so many new tools in my personal practice. More recently, I've been taking a close interest in more recent artists such as Georg Baselitz and Joan Mitchell, whose work on color and gesture particularly inspires me.
