Faruk Tak is a contemporary Turkish artist. He has dedicated the last 15 years shaping wood. His natural treasure is the variety of trees found in the woodlands around the Black Sea. In his studio, aged and decayed tree roots and branches come to life once more. The shape of the wood most often guides the work. It is a joyful and peaceful endeavor for the artist to reveal its texture, color, and beauty.
