Bogdan Dide uses various techniques in his work, the choice of one or another depending on the goals set. The main theme is portraiture...

What made you approach art and become an artist (events, feelings, experiences...)?

There were no artists in my family,

but in the home library there were books about painting, which influenced my choice to be an artist.

What is your artistic background, techniques and themes you have experimented with so far?

I use different techniques in my work, the choice of one or another technique depends on the goals set before the work. The main theme is a portrait.

What are the 3 aspects that differentiate you from other artists, making your work unique?

My own style makes my work unique.

Where does your inspiration come from?

I am most inspired by the temperament, character, inner energy, and mystery of a woman's face.

What is the intention of your art? What visions, sensations, or feelings do you wish to evoke in the viewer?

Emotions! The transfer of the character's individuality, the character's inner and emotional world.

What is the process of creation of your works? Spontaneous or with a long process of preparation (technique, inspiration from art classics or others)?

With a long process of preparation: idea, sketch, structuring of colors and details.

Which techniques do you prefer? If so, can you explain?

I use mixed media. To create certain effects, any improvised material is used.

Are there any innovative aspects to your work? Can you tell us which ones?

Yes, my own style, which makes my work unique.

Do you have a format or medium that you feel most comfortable with?if yes, why?

No, the choice of tool and format depends on the task at hand.

Where do you produce your work? At home, in a shared or private studio? And within this space, how is your production organized?

I work at home, in my studio. This allows me to dedicate much more time to art. Literally waking up, I am already working.

Does your work take you traveling to meet new collectors, for shows or exhibitions? If so, what do you get out of it?

I constantly attend exhibitions, I also visit art fairs and other artists' shows.

How do you imagine the evolution of your work and your figure as an artist in the future?

Strive for world fame.

What is the theme, style, or technique of your most recent artistic production?

Female image, canvas, mixed media, expression.

Can you tell us about your most important exhibition experience?

First exhibition in a contemporary art gallery in Lisbon. I consider this the beginning of my professional career and the recognition of my art in the artistic environment.

If you could have created a famous work in the history of art, which one would you choose? And why would you choose it?

"Guernica," Pablo Picasso. Now that's close to me on the topic.

If you could invite a famous artist (dead or alive) to dinner, who would it be? How would you propose him or her to spend the evening?

I would invite Pablo Picasso. With wine and in the company of lovely women.
