Elsa Muñoz is a contemporary Mexican sculptor. She is one of the most outstanding emerging sculptors in Mexico. In her work she explores the body as a pretext to immerse herself in the universe of existence.
As a sculptor, her intention is to investigate the human body and its links with symbolic space. The purpose of it is to take a closer look at the intimate geometry on the border between the human body and the meaning of life. Loneliness and disappointment, but also hope and healing of the self are the elements of her search. Well-defined lines combined with neo-symbolist and expressionist elements are the main characteristics of her works.
