The presented sculpture was invented and made by the sculptor in the second half of 2021. The master makes the latest works in a larger format (for example, previously the height of the sculptures was 16 cm, but now over 20 cm). This makes the sculpture more eye-catching.
The sculptor developed the subject entirely according to his own idea: the subject is original (conceptual) and the details are worked out well.

The idea for the storyline came to the author as he watched his niece. "All their time spend on the phone," was how the author explained the creative idea. It is difficult to argue with the author, because now literally the whole world can fit in one hand - in the phone.
Nevertheless, the author designed the sculpture as always with the author's inherent humor. The title Princess demonstrate to the viewer a certain modern woman ideal, which will go to the modern prince.

SHEVCHUK Dmitriy - was born in 1964 in Kiev (Ukraine). Artist and sculptor works in his own workshop in the Kiev region. In 1991 he graduated from the Kiev Art-Industrial School (now Kiev State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk). After studying he was engaged in manufacturing of master-models (sculptures of small forms) for manufacturing firms both in Ukraine and abroad (Italy, USA, Canada, France).

Particular recognition of the author received after the release of the author's series of sculptures - "Satire as the art of life. This is an ironic series of caricatures, which turns the viewer to the philosophy of everyday life and encourages us to look at everyday things through the prism of the author's humor.
In October 2021, the sculptor held an exhibition of his work at the Gamma Gallery (Kiev, Ukraine).

The author's work from beginning to end - the author himself makes the figure in wax, applies a layer of clay, then - melt the wax. After that he pours the metal. The last step - the author puts the finishing touches (sanding, soldering) and the figure is ready. The entire process from research to finished figurine takes about 3-4 weeks.

Dmitry Shevchuk, a contemporary Ukrainian artist renowned for his mastery of ironic caricature and humorous sculptures, discovered his passion for modeling figures from plasticine during childhood. This early fascination paved the way for his artistic journey, leading him to pursue formal education at the Kyiv Art-Industrial School (now Kyiv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk), from which he graduated in 1991.

Following graduation, Dmitry delved into the realm of manufacturing, specializing in crafting master models, or small sculptures, for various companies in Ukraine and abroad, including Italy and the USA.

In 2010, Dmitry embarked on a new artistic endeavor with the inception of his own series titled "Satire as an Art of Life." This series comprises bronze statuettes, each standing up to 20 cm tall, crafted in the genre of ironic caricature. Handmade by the artist himself, each work is produced in limited editions of up to 10 copies. The series serves as a playful exploration of the mundane aspects of everyday life, inviting viewers to contemplate the ordinary through Dmitry's unique lens of humor and satire.

Through his whimsical creations, Dmitry Shevchuk offers a fresh perspective on the routines and banalities of modern life, encouraging audiences to find amusement and insight in the seemingly mundane. His works spark laughter and contemplation, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary expressions of artistic wit and creativity.
