I chose the "Sleeping Ariadne" statue as the basis of the picture's plot. Without her, Theseus never would have escaped the Labyrinth. The condition for the Theseus' rescue was his marriage to Ariadne. But at the behest of the Gods, on the way to Athens, Theseus left her sleeping alone. I chose the "Sleeping Ariadne" statue as the basis of the picture's plot. Without her, Theseus never would have escaped the Labyrinth. The condition for the Theseus' rescue was his marriage to Ariadne. But at the behest of the Gods, on the way to Athens, Theseus left her sleeping alone. In late antiquity, she began to be portrayed as “sleeping”, “mythically”, “dead”.
In the picture, the statue sleeps peacefully, enjoying the sounds of music. On her face we see peace and tranquility, her lips are curved in a slight smile. She hopes for a better future, and doesn't understand what's going on.
I wanted to portray our society, thanks to this image. Russia's society is based on politically immature people, and not only politically. We as teenagers aren't completely aware of ourselves and our strength, of our ability to influence our country's life. We're childish, and we're beginning to realize that only now.
The pink flowers in the painting are chosen as a symbol of naivety: mine and of my surroundings.
The heroine in this picture acts like nothing is happening. She doesn't see and isn't able to understand that everything's on fire, and she's already doomed. But she keeps thinking that everything will be fine, although she has long needed to wake up!

Daria Dacron is a Russian artist.

Born and raised in a small town on the shore of the Baltic Sea. She paints pictures on canvas with acrylic paints.

At the beginning of her creative career, her paintings were based on realism, but she was continuing her experiments with new techniques, styles, and materials.

After graduating from the art school, where she got a classical education, she graduated from university with a bachelor degree in Graphic Design. Later she taught painting, drawing, and art history for several years.

Daria continues his education studying modern innovative painting techniques.

In the work, she is inspired by flowers, gardens, and landscapes. Periodically, images of people appear in her painting, in the form of garden statues, cold and strict, aesthetic and perfect, which begin to come to life in her paintings.

Daria is a very sensitive artist. This allows her to subtly feel the essence of things and processes. She likes to use artistic techniques that show the vibes that we feel around us. And even static landscapes and floral composition become full of motion and life. Her paintings have an emotional strength and a visual brightness.
